To ensure a fulfilling and impactful experience, we provide:

This preparation equips volunteers with a deeper understanding of the communities they serve and enables effective, respectful engagement.
Transport & Airport Pick-Up
For volunteers traveling from outside the country, we provide airport pick-up and drop-off services to ensure a safe, smooth, and stress-free arrival.
Transport support includes:
- Airport pick-up upon arrival
- Airport drop-off at the end of your placement
- Local transportation to and from project sites (where applicable)
- Safe and reliable transport arrangements
Transport & Logistics Fee
A one-time fee of USD 100 is required to cover transport coordination, logistics, and airport pick-up services.
All transport details and arrangements will be communicated in advance.
ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
We offer three accommodation options to suit your comfort level, budget, and personal preference:
- Family Hosting
Stay with a local host family and enjoy an authentic cultural experience, daily life, and strong community connection.
Cost: USD 20 per day

- Bed & Breakfast (B&B)
Comfortable and private accommodation with essential amenities in a safe and welcoming environment.
Cost: From USD 30 per day
✔ Accommodation provided
✔ Kitchen facilities available
✖ Meals not included (volunteers arrange or prepare their own meals)
- Guest House
Clean, safe, and secure guest house accommodation, available based on your preference and availability.
Cost: Rates available on request

Volunteer Eligibility
To volunteer with Volunteer in East Africa, applicants must:
- Be 18 years and above (younger volunteers may participate with guardian approval)
- Have a genuine passion to serve children and communities
- Respect local cultures, values, and beliefs
- Be willing to follow organizational guidelines and codes of conduct
- Possess relevant skills or be open to learning (depending on the program)
Volunteer Duration
We offer flexible volunteering periods, including:
- Short-term placements (1–4 weeks)
- Medium-term placements (1–3 months)
- Long-term placements (3–12 months)
Program duration is arranged based on your availability, goals, and project needs.

Joining us is simple:
- Submit a volunteer application form
- Indicate your preferred country, program, and duration
- Receive confirmation and placement details
- Prepare for travel with our guidance and support
All approved volunteers receive pre-arrival information and preparation support.
Fees Not Included
Please note that the following costs are not included unless stated otherwise:
- International airfare
- Visa fees
- Travel insurance
- Personal expenses and leisure activities
- Vaccinations and medical costs
